Subaru is known for its reliability and innovation, and it's no different when it comes to the Impreza and Crosstrek. Both vehicles continue to make statements on the roads of Somerset, Bristol, and Fall River, providing you with the ultimate choice.

To help you decide between the two, Stateline Subaru has created this 2019 Subaru Impreza vs. Crosstrek comparison. See what each of these models offer below, then head down to our lot to see for yourself in person!

2019 Impreza vs 2019 Crosstrek - Performance

Under the hood of both vehicles, you're going to have the 2.0-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine. Unique to this manufacturer, this engine sits flatter, providing a lower center of gravity, meaning less drag. This engine supplies 152 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, providing a smooth and robust drive. Both vehicles come standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, as well.

However, when it comes to transmissions, the two models differ slightly. Equipped in the Impreza, you'll receive the standard 5-speed transmission, while in the 2019 Crosstrek, you'll get the 6-speed transmission, both manual. A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is also available, which includes adaptive control and automatic shifting.

Impreza vs Crosstrek - Technology

The tech found inside these two compact SUVs is sure to impress. Both models come with the SUBARU STARLINK™ Multimedia system standardly. This includes Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, and Pandora® integration, allowing you to stay connected and entertained while hitting the streets. Navigation powered by TomTom® is also available, all accessible on your available 8-inch dashboard touchscreen.

A Harmon Kardon® Premium Audio system can also be added to either model that ups the game when listening to music. This 432-watt sound system features eight speakers throughout your cabin, providing a clear listening experience, be it music or sound from your smartphone. Wi-Fi Hotspot capability is also available; however, it is not found in the 5-door version of the Impreza.

Subaru Impreza vs Crosstrek - Cargo Space

Both models are sure to meet your needs when it comes to what you put in the back. In the Subaru Impreza 5-door, as well as in the Crosstrek, you're going to find ample space of 20.8 cubic feet behind the second row of seats.

Need more space? Not a problem! Simply fold down the seats, and that space widens to an impressive 55.3 cubic feet. This makes transporting larger items or massive amounts of shopping bags easy!

There is one difference when it comes to the space in the rear of these vehicles, however. If you opt for the sedan, 4-door version of the Impreza, you won't be getting quite as much room in the back. The trunk space, though still large and accommodating, measures in at 12.3 cubic feet.
