The 2018 Subaru Forester gives you a choice between two setups under the hood. Both give you great performance and fuel economy in any conditions.

The base engine is a 2.5L 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine that gets up 170 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a 6-speed manual, but there is an option for a Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) as well.

The second engine is a 2.0L Direct Injection Turbocharged 4-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine that can produce up to 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The CVT is standard with this engine.

The CVT helps maximize the engine's output and power, plus it gets a more efficient performance. This allows each engine on the 2018 Forester to have a maximum towing capacity of up to 1,500 pounds and get an EPA-estimated 32 MPG highway.

2018 Forester Passenger & Cargo Room

The interior of the 2018 Subaru Forester was designed to comfortably carry your whole family and store all your cargo.
